The charts below show the number of submissions made and the numbers of staff, outputs and impact case studies included in submissions. Where relevant, the numbers submitted to the 2008 RAE are also shown.

In the REF, 28 per cent of staff (by headcount) were submitted with individual circumstances. This compares to 13 per cent of staff submitted in the 2008 RAE with fewer than four outputs.
